Volvo Recall Description: Battery may overheat

Recall defect descripton: Garmin have identified that certain model Nuvi portable navigation products fitted with a specific battery and printed circuit board design can, under rare circumstances overheat. This could result in a unit fire.

Volvo Recall action: Volvo are assisting Garmin by writing to all owners who may have these units and requesting then to check their unit serial number against information contained on Garmin website. If an affected unit is identified, then return the unit to Garmin for the replacement of the battery.
